Attendance History refreshes automatically within about a minute of the DTR correction or leave being approved. Reload the page. If the day sits inside a payroll period that was already locked, the attendance record is not rewritten and the correction is handled as an adjustment on the next payroll.

What should happen

Once your approver taps Approve on your DTR correction or leave request, two things happen in sequence:

  1. The request itself is marked as Approved on your Requests page straight away.
  2. Your Attendance History row for the affected day is recomputed by a background worker. This takes about half a minute, after which the day's Late, Undertime, Overtime, Night Diff and status (Present, Absent) show the new values.

Reload the Attendance History page after a minute. The page does not refresh itself.

When the day sits in a locked pay period

If the pay period containing that day was already locked by the HR officer before the approval, the attendance record stays as it was. Locked days are not rewritten automatically.

The correction or leave is still approved. HR handles it as an adjustment on the next payroll run, not by overwriting the already-paid period. The Attendance History row will keep showing the pre-approval values, with the request itself visible as Approved under Requests. This is expected.

If you are not sure whether your period is locked, ask HR or check the request detail — it carries a note about the pay period status when the approval went through.

When to raise it with HR

Flag it with HR, with the request reference, if:

  • More than a few minutes have passed and the day is not in a locked period, and the row still shows the old values. There is a nightly safety-net recompute at 02:00 Philippine time; if the row is still wrong the next morning, the recompute was not able to catch up and HR needs to look at it.
  • Your request shows Approved but the attendance row shows Absent for a day you filed a leave for, and you are inside the current open period.
  • The pay register (asked at the HR side) does not match your Attendance History on an approved day.

Do not re-file the request. A second request for the same day is likely to be rejected as a duplicate and does not speed up the recompute.

What is recomputed

The following fields on the attendance record are refreshed when the recompute runs:

  • Time-In and Time-Out (for DTR corrections)
  • Late minutes
  • Undertime minutes
  • Overtime minutes
  • Night differential hours
  • Status (Present, Absent, On Leave, On OB)
  • Is Corrected flag (for DTR corrections)

Fields that depend on the schedule (shift start, shift end, rest day flag) only change when HR edits your shift assignment, not when a DTR correction or leave is approved.

Questions people ask

How long does the refresh take?

Normally about half a minute from the moment your approver taps Approve. A background worker picks up the change on the next cycle, recomputes late minutes, undertime, overtime and night differential for that day, and the row updates.

Do I need to do anything to trigger it?

No. Just reload Attendance History after a minute. There is no refresh button and no need to re-file the request.

Why is my day still showing the old values after a minute?

The most common reason is that the day falls inside a payroll period that was already locked when the request was approved. Locked days are not rewritten automatically, because payroll has already run on them. The correction will be handled as an adjustment on the next payroll run instead.

What if my period is not locked and it still has not updated?

There is a nightly safety-net recompute at 02:00 Philippine time that catches anything the live recompute missed. If the row still shows late, undertime or absent the next morning, message HR with the request reference so they can look at the queue.

Will my payslip be wrong if the attendance history has not updated yet?

The pay register the HR officer sees reads from the same attendance record, so it will also lag by about half a minute. HR will only finalize the pay register once the recompute has caught up, so the payslip itself ends up correct.

Does this apply to leave approvals too?

Yes. Leave, overtime, offset and official business approvals all enqueue a recompute for the day or date range. The same half-minute wait and the same locked-period rule apply.
