The System That Adapts to You
135% overtime instead of 125%? Birthday leave? A 3-step approval chain? Set your own payroll, leave, and approval rules. No developer, no ticket to your HRIS vendor, no waiting.
Most HR Software Makes You Adapt to It
OneHRIS was built the other way around
Rigid, One-Size-Fits-All Software
- Only supports the "standard" OT rate. Your field staff premium doesn't fit
- Leave types are fixed to VL/SL. No birthday leave, no bereavement leave
- Approval workflows cap out at one level
- Changing a rule means a support ticket and a wait
- You end up tracking exceptions in a spreadsheet anyway
OneHRIS Custom Policies
- Set OT rates and caps per department, branch, or employee type
- Create unlimited custom leave types with your own accrual rules
- Build approval chains as many levels deep as you actually need
- HR configures changes themselves. No ticket, no wait
- Exceptions become real, enforced rules, not a side spreadsheet
What You Can Actually Configure
Real examples, not abstract feature-checklist language
Overtime Rates & Caps
Standard 125%, or 130%/135% for specific departments, branches, or employee types. Rest-day and holiday multipliers. Monthly OT caps if you need them.
Custom Leave Types
Beyond SIL/VL/SL: birthday leave, bereavement, study leave, solo parent leave, whatever your company already offers, with your own accrual and carry-over rules.
Multi-Level Approval Chains
Team Lead → Manager → HR, or any sequence you need, for leave, overtime, contract, and expense requests. Not capped at a single approver.
Work-From-Home Rules
Define who's eligible for WFH, how many days per week or month, and which approvals apply, enforced automatically, not tracked manually.
Company Loan Terms
Set your own loan amounts, terms, and amortization rules. Deductions apply automatically each payroll run. No manual tracking in a separate sheet.
Branch & Department Overrides
Any rule above can be scoped narrowly (one branch) or broadly (company-wide), you're not forced to choose one policy for the entire organization.
How Your HR Team Actually Sets This Up
For a small number of genuinely unusual scenarios that don't fit a simple rule, our team can configure something more advanced on your behalf, but that's the exception. Most companies never need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. HR admins configure custom overtime rates, leave types, and approval chains themselves, picking conditions like department or employee type, then setting the rate or rule. For a handful of truly unusual scenarios our team can help configure something more advanced, but that's the exception, not the normal setup path.
Can I set different overtime rates for different departments or employee types?
Yes. Define separate overtime multipliers, caps, and premium rates by department, branch, employee type, or day of week, e.g. field staff at 135% instead of the standard 125%, or a different rate for rest-day work.
What if our approval chain has more than one or two levels?
OneHRIS supports multi-level approval chains for leave, overtime, contract, and expense requests: Team Lead to Manager to HR, or any sequence you need. You're not limited to a single-approver model.
Can we change our policies later without starting over?
Yes. Policies can be edited and given effective dates as your company grows or your rules change, you're not locked into what you configured on day one.
Does this cost extra?
No. Custom overtime rates, leave types, and approval workflows are included in every paid OneHRIS tier, it's not a separate add-on.
