What is PhilHealth premium?

The monthly health insurance contribution, currently 5% of monthly basic salary, shared equally by the employee and employer.

The salary used is limited by an income floor of ₱10,000 and a ceiling of ₱100,000, so the total premium runs from ₱500 to ₱5,000 a month. Employers remit it monthly together with the employee's share.

  • Pag-IBIG (HDMF) contribution: The monthly savings contribution to the Home Development Mutual Fund, shared equally by the employee and employer at 2% each of monthly compensation.
  • Pay register: The report for a pay period that lists every employee's earnings, deductions and net pay, reviewed and approved before payslips are released.
  • Regular holiday: A holiday on which employees are paid 100% of the daily wage even if they do not work, and 200% if they do.
  • Rest day: The weekly day off an employee is entitled to after six consecutive days of work. Work on a rest day is paid at a premium of at least 30% of the regular rate.
